Hawaii Part 2 : Days 3 and 4

The beginning of our 3rd day in Hawaii was slightly ridiculous. Sawyer woke up at 5am for the day, so...yeah. Haha. It happened to be the day we decided to go to Kihei Caffee for breakfast, I had read a lot of great reviews about it and was looking forward to going. However, I could not find the keys to our rental. (I'm sure right now my dad is cringing at this story, sorry dad! It has to be told!) Mike and I tore apart the condo, I dumped out my purse about 4 times, raided our suitcase twice, Sawyers twice, looked in every nook and cranny of that place. Mike asked the property manager if anyone returned any keys thinking I may have dropped them the day before (I drove last) and she said no. I asked my dad if he had somehow grabbed our car keys by mistake, and he pulled out keys from his pocket and said "nope this is my key" and we continued to search. About 30 minutes later the only place we hadn't searched was the dumpster (I had thrown some stuff out after getting out of the car the day before) and I was literally about to walk into the dumpster room (to avoid paying the $250 lost key fee) when Mike stops me and said "Uh, your dad has the keys...or something?" So I look down the hall and see him walking towards us....turns out, the keys that were in his pocket were not his and my moms car keys, but mine and Mikes. AHHHHH!

Anyway, at least I didn't have to climb into the dumpster and he is now forgiven, he did buy us breakfast after all ;).

After that little crisis, the rest of the day was awesome. Kihei Caffe didn't disappoint!

Waiting for us to find the keys

Sawyer had a whale pancake and some sausage. He was in heaven!

Mike had Eggs Benedict, I had bacon and a parfait :)

After breakfast, it was beach time! Are you shocked?

Cute hubby

Sawyer checked out his pool floaty

After his nap, we went to a different beach to snorkel. Again Sawyer LOVED the water!

(I love these next few photos, he just looks so happy)

My dad bought this awesome underwater camera, doesn't Mike look like a pro-snorkeler? (is there such a thing?)

That night Sawyer tried on Poppa's hat and played with the louvres on the door.

The next day was awesome too, we all had our keys, har-de-har, and headed to the Maui Ocean Center that morning. Sawyer had a blast seeing all the fish. It was like a giant indoor playground for him and he ran around with pure excitement written on his face the entire time. He really loved it. And he loves fish even more now. (Remember he had an Under the Sea themed b-day party?) It was hard to get a good picture of him because the lighting was weird and he was constantly on the move!

Sawyer and "Poppa"

After the aquarium we drove to Lahaina and had lunch at Kimo's, bought Sawyer some bright green Crocs (and he is now obsessed with them) and Mike and I shared what I am dubbing the worlds largest shave ice. I wish I had pictures!

After we got back, you guessed it, it was time for the beach!

That night Sawyer woke up after being asleep for an hour, and then fell asleep on me, such a rare moment, it was really sweet.

I have lots more pictures to post including Mike's hike at Haleakala, a date night in Lahaina, and some pool pictures and more time at the beach, along with our flight home to round out the trip of a lifetime!
