Sawyer will (most likely) be starting soccer this fall! We had been wanting to get him into some kind of sport and last week my coworkers were talking about their kids starting soccer so I barged into their conversation and got Sawyer in on it! Yesterday was a little kind of assessment/try-out something or other that we went to to see how the kids would do. Sawyer loved it. He didn't really listen to the coach, but he had a lot of fun!
There were some hilarious moments of course. He was dribbling the ball and actually holding his own against some other kids pretty well (I use the term dribbling loosely, but he was really doing a great job) and one of the kids got the ball from him and he was all up in arms. He marched up to the coach and pointed to the kid and said "HEY! He taked that ball away from me!" It was hysterical. Then at the end he gave the sweet coach a high 5 and then asked her why she spit on him. I have no idea WHAT he was talking about. Oh kids! Also, it was insanely hot, like literally 100 degrees, but all in all it was super fun and Sawyer enjoyed himself! The season starts in September!

Catching up - End of July / Beginning of August
It has been awhile since I updated my little blog! Nothing too crazy going on but life with two working parents and two kids is tiring! I wish I had an extra couple hours in the day to get things done. But the kids are good, we are good, life is good, even if we are tired and crazy!
We discovered Blair loves corn
One weekend we went to the Saturday market and Blair had a new adorable as ever headband and after the market we went for a walk so Sawyer could ride his bike.
Sawyer caught his first fish!
We let Sawyer try Mario Cart on the wii, he loves it. He was tired of Blair harassing him so he moved his chair to the couch. ha!
Classic little sister
And trouble maker
Sawyer decided to wear a beanie on a 90 degree day
and the kids had fun in the hallway
Somewhere in here my parents came to visit, we love having them up here. Here is a pic my dad took of Sawyer, he loves his papa
When they were here we went to this little event at the park and Sawyer got to sit in a fire truck.
It was HOT. Poor gal.
He also got to sit in a school bus, doesn't he look thrilled? ;)
The kids' pediatrician was there at the booth!
Dance skills
Blair having some water and snuggling her Nana
messiest eater ever
Ever since the little people in our house have taken over the spare bedrooms my parents have stayed at a hotel on their visits. This time we took advantage of the pool
I find this picture so hilarious

Dinner Dates
I love my little dinner dates. Mike often gets home on the late side so I end up eating with just these two a lot. Sometimes we can all sit down together, sometimes we eat sporadically (that happens mostly because Sawyer refuses to eat most kinds of food and ends up with something different from what Mike and I eat). I ordered pizza for us tonight so the kiddos and I got to sit down together. Poor Blair didn't get any pizza but she did like bopping to some music while eating her peaches and bananas :)
Sawyer only allowed me to take one picture of him

Sibling Love
I've been waiting for this for so long, but Sawyer and Blair finally play together! I mean, not all the time everyday, but there are moments where they sit side by side playing with their toys and interacting with each other. This thrills me! Sure she pulls his hair, and he tries to push her off, but for the most part they are so cute, and they really love each other. I think Sawyer is glad to have her around, and she lights up whenever he engages her.
Funny little Sawyer convo: I told him that he and I were going to see "Planes: Fire and Rescue" this weekend (we really need a mommy/Sawyer outing) and he said "What about Daddy?" I told him Daddy would stay home with Blair. He said ok, then paused and said "I think Blair will miss me." I'm sure he is right.

Her face is hysterical
Someone has a hard time sharing (cough, Sawyer)
at least he gave her a hug
He thought Blair needed all of her toys one day
I'm pretty sure he just wanted to sit in this toy bin
she crawled over to him and once she got here he ran off into the other room, poor gal
Sometimes I have to remind him to be gentle, goes with the big brother territory
We love these kids!
