Rained Out / First Library Visit

A direct opposite to my last post of loving to stay home! Last Sunday we decided to get out of the house and take Sawyer to the park and the library. Of course, as soon as we got to the park it started to drizzle, but we let Sawyer tromp around in the bed of leaves and he in his element. I hung back to take pictures since I was wearing light colored Uggs and didn't want to get them dirty ;) When it started to rain a little harder we had to leave but he had fun while we were there!

 After the park we made a quick stop at home to change his pants and shoes since they were a bit muddy and then we went to the library. He had never been to the library before and he really had a great time! I stayed at the counter to make sure my card was still valid and when I went upstairs to the kids section I heard Sawyer before I could see him, so I followed his voice to find him running from Mike while holding chapter books (like for kids in elementary school), it was so funny. After that we went to the little kid section where the real fun began.

Hanging Out At Home

After working full time all week, it is so awesome to be able to hang out at home on the weekends. Of course we love to get out of the house and take Sawyer to do fun things, but sometimes its nice to relax and play at home. We love watching movies, reading books, and playing with trains and cars, etc.

We also love hanging out with our friends :) Especially when they bring their kids! Our friends came over last weekend with their sweet little daughter, she was the cutest little doll and she was totally loving Sawyer, he was not so pleased with having to share his toys with her. Classic only child. She loved giving him hugs and Sawyer was not in the best mood and would run away screaming, it was hilarious and awesome.

Trick or Treat!

This year was Sawyers first Halloween where he went Trick or Treating for real and he had a ball! His first Halloween we went walking around with a group, but he was only just shy of 7 months so he just sat in his stroller enjoying the experience, and last year he hated his costume so we stayed home and handed out candy.

This year my friend Tracee came over with her son Kaedyn and we had some Halloween pizza (Jack-o-lantern shaped) and got ready for the big night. Sawyer dressed as a pirate and was too cute. Kaedyn was a super cool Fireman and it was his first year going door to door as well. Sawyer and Kaedyn loved it and we were so lucky because while it rained all day, the rain stopped just in time for us to go out!

Sawyer was so interested in these ghosts, when we walked up to the house he said "ahh! A ghost! AHHHHH!" he was pretending to be scared, so cute :)

 They were such cute friends. And the high waisted pants part of Sawyer's costume is the best

Fall Photo Fail

I don't know what my issue is, but I can never seem to take a great fall picture. I have this vision of Sawyer wearing a cute outfit and posing with vibrant orange, red, and yellow leaved trees in the background, but it never seems to work out. I hope to try again, hopefully I'll find a place in town where this can happen, and hope that he cooperates. I tried to get a few in front of our house, but he was not into it. Still cute though! nothing new there!
