6 months and Easter Weekend

On April 16th Blair Victoria turned 6 months old! I can't believe it! She is sweet, adorable, funny, curious, loving, smiley, and she weighs in at 19lbs 7oz! Most nights she sleeps through the night, she has tried baby food and doesn't care for it, she love to sit and play, loves to be held, loves her brother, loves her dad, and is just all around awesome.

I had Good Friday off from work, so we got to have an extra family day. We decided to make a trip to Bauman Farms to get a few more things for our garden. Blair rode in her new big girl seat for the first time.

Sawyer loved smelling the flowers

On Saturday we went to an egg hunt that a local church puts on for free! It was pretty awesome despite our Oregon Spring weather (rain). Free breakfast, games for kids, bouncy houses, balloon animals, egg hunts divided into different age groups, and I'm sure more that I can't remember. When the egg hunt for Sawyer's age group started he ran to the rack that had eggs for the other groups and tried to put those in his basket....thankfully Mike was able to redirect him. Sawyer is so dang funny. We met some friends there so it was nice to chat for a bit while the kids had fun.

After that we picked up this jumperoo for $15! Sawyer was happy to show Blair how to use it, and wanted to get in it himself.

We also colored eggs!

My mom The Easter bunny left some baskets for the kids (sorry for Sawyer's lack of pants, I tried)

I love how Blair kept looking at him trying to figure out what the heck was going on

Pierre wanted to share Blair's basket

Her shoes didn't last long, but I loved her outfit

Couldn't get a good picture of them, story of my life. And Sawyer is wearing hiking boots because we we were going to a friends house for an egg hunt, and it rained the previous day. Our weather doesn't allow cute shoes sometimes....

Sawyer and his pal Lucy had a blast looking for eggs

 Fun weekend : )

Learning to Sit and a Spring Weekend

The weather has been so nice these last week, finally we are getting some Spring weather; although I hear that the rain is coming back in a few days. This weekend we spent a lot of time in the backyard, took our first trip as a family of 4 to the Farmers Market, and Mike and Sawyer planted a garden. Blair is perfecting her sitting skills and I couldn't be more excited. I love the sitting baby stage - so cute, so wobbly.

We love getting fresh vegetables at our local Farmers Market, well technically it is called the "Saturday Market" and Sawyer calls it the Super Market. We go by our own rules. We went yesterday for the first time this year and Sawyer said he was going to pick out a vegetable. I have never in my life seen him eat a vegetable aside from baby food (kind of ridiculous) but we were encouraging him and he was excited. He wanted to get a carrot, but we couldn't find one. I told him we had carrots at home, and he settled on picking some beets. Wouldn't you know, he didn't eat either. Maybe next time. Blair was a good girl and sat in nicely in her stroller making her little baby noises here and there. Sawyer pointed out every single dog he saw, he was very excited about seeing dogs. I love that boy, he is a funny kid.

Once we got home the boys worked on getting a spot in the yard ready for a garden and then they planted the plants we bought at the market. Blair and I hung out too, she was bopping around in her saucer.

Today we ran some errands and spent some more time outside. Blair decided she didn't want to be good napper so she had some cranky moments, but all in all, it was a nice family day. I told Sawyer to put on his shoes because we were going to leave to run some errands and he asked me what errands were. I said "it is where were go to a few places and get some things we need. Like today we have to get Blair some diapers and Bugaboo some food." He said in the same tone I was talking in "and get Sawyer some fish." It was hilarious. He is always scheming ;)

I know I have too many pictures to post, but I really did my best to narrow them down. I just never want to forget Sawyer and his cool long hair (though I do think he needs a haircut) or Blair's chubby cheeks and roly-poly legs. I love everything about these kids and I will never regret all my pictures.

We let Sawyer fall asleep in our bed one night-shark shirt, shark stuffed animal, shark blanket

How sweet is she in her sun hat? I can't take it!

She noticed her feet

She's going for them

excited for the "Super Market"

I was loving seeing her toes through the screen

tool cool for school

Blair also had some food for the first time! Oatmeal and sweet potatoes, she wasn't all that into it despite how the last couple of pics look

eating some bananas, putting his feet up after some hard work in the garden today

I love my family and we are already looking forward to next weekend.

Also.... Happy Birthday Mom and Dad! : ) Love you!
